The organisation oversees a wide range of facilities, including a world-class velodrome, sports and training spaces, conference and seminar rooms, a restaurant, and collective accommodation. Through its strong integration into the local and regional economic landscape and its close collaboration with international organisations, CMC Exploitation SA supports sustainable development and the continued growth of the UCI World Cycling Centre’s activities. To support its expanding operations, the UCI World Cycling Centre is seeking a full-time Operational Business Development Coordinator to lead commercial development efforts while ensuring the efficient coordination of sports facilities and activities. Role Overview The Operational Business Development Coordinator is responsible for developing, promoting, and implementing the commercial activities of the UCI World Cycling Centre. The role also plays a central part in coordinating the use of sports infrastructure and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations. This position combines strategic business development with hands-on operational coordination in a dynamic, international sporting environment. Key Responsibilities Business Development Develop and implement the commercial strategy, including pricing structures, product development, promotions, and marketing campaigns, in close collaboration with the UCI WCC Communication and Digital Coordinator. Promote the UCI World Cycling Centre, its infrastructure, and its activities through targeted commercial outreach, social media engagement, the UCI WCC website, and other relevant communication channels. Design, promote, and sell new commercial products and service offerings, ensuring their effective implementation and regular updates. Lead business development initiatives with tour operators and with local, regional, and international companies to increase revenue across UCI WCC operations, including the on-site restaurant, Le Vélodrome. Develop and manage partnerships with sports clubs, associations, companies, and sponsors to strengthen the Centre’s commercial and sporting ecosystem. Operational Coordination and Sports Facilities Management Plan, organise, and coordinate activities across the UCI World Cycling Centre, including bookings, scheduling, resources, and infrastructure allocation. Manage schedules for all sports facilities to ensure optimal use and operational efficiency. Organise and coordinate training camps for National Federations, clubs, and Youth & Sport programmes. Oversee relationships with permanent tenants and track subscribers. Coordinate track and BMX initiation sessions for various user groups. Facilitate collaboration between internal teams, including business development staff, coaches, and instructors. Coordinate external partners in line with bookings and operational needs, including accommodation providers, restaurant services, and instructors. Support the planning and delivery of sporting events hosted at the UCI World Cycling Centre. Manage operations of the UCI World Cycling Centre retail shop. Administrative Follow-up and Reporting Analyse commercial performance and revenue streams to support strategic decision-making. Monitor local and regional market offerings to benchmark UCI WCC products and services. Prepare regular activity and performance reports, identifying opportunities for improvement and growth. Manage contracts, quotations, invoices, and all administrative documentation related to UCI WCC activities. Candidate Profile The ideal candidate brings a strong commercial mindset combined with proven operational and coordination skills in a sports or events-driven environment. Required Qualifications and Experience: Master’s degree in business administration, sports management, or a related field. 3–5 years of experience in a similar business development or operational coordination role. Demonstrated experience in prospecting, sales, and commercial development. Proven ability to manage and coordinate teams effectively. Skills and Competencies: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a positive and professional approach. Strong organisational abilities and a well-developed team spirit. Solid knowledge of the local and regional economic environment. Good understanding of the regional, national, and international sports industry. Fluency in spoken and written French and English; Swiss German is considered an asset. Proficiency in MS Office tools, particularly Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Detail-oriented, adaptable, and able to work autonomously. Creative, proactive, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. Availability to work weekends when required by operational demands.
