Key Responsibilities Selected candidates will work closely with UN experts, including a Data Officer and Economist, while collaborating with government institutions, academic bodies, and private sector stakeholders. 1. Digitalization Initiatives Support The intern will contribute to projects promoting digital transformation, including: E-governance and digital inclusion Artificial intelligence (AI) literacy and digital skills Startup ecosystems and innovation networks Tasks include conducting research, drafting reports, and preparing materials for digital-focused events. 2. Private Sector Engagement A major component of the role involves supporting the 2026 Private Sector Sustainability Forum, including: Coordinating invitations and agendas Assisting with speaker engagement Managing follow-up communications The intern will also help maintain and update a private sector engagement database. 3. Event Organization and Coordination Interns will play a hands-on role in organizing: Workshops and roundtables Public consultations and forums Events on technology, sustainability, and innovation Responsibilities include logistics, documentation, and participant coordination. 4. Data and Knowledge Management The role includes analytical tasks such as: Collecting and analyzing data on digitalization trends Monitoring private sector contributions to sustainability Supporting the creation of dashboards and reports for UN meetings 5. Additional Duties Interns may be assigned other responsibilities depending on project needs and supervisor guidance. Eligibility Criteria and Qualifications Applicants must meet at least one of the following academic requirements: Be enrolled in or have completed a graduate programme (Master’s or higher) Be in the final year or a graduate of a bachelor’s degree Relevant fields of study include: Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Economics or business administration Engineering or computer science Public policy, environmental studies, or social sciences Required Skills Strong candidates will demonstrate: Excellent research and writing skills in English Interest in digital transformation and sustainable development Strong organizational and communication abilities Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams) Ability to work with datasets and coordinate across multiple stakeholders Experience in event organization or research projects is considered an advantage.
