Key Responsibilities The Programme Management Officer will be responsible for a broad range of programme and product management functions, including: Providing strategic product management and leadership for ReliefWeb. Developing and monitoring programmes, projects and workplans. Creating product roadmaps and action plans. Facilitating workshops and stakeholder engagement sessions. Balancing user requirements, stakeholder priorities, technical feasibility and organisational capacity. Collaborating with product managers responsible for other OCHA platforms, including the Humanitarian Data Exchange. Supporting common data standards, schemas and artificial intelligence integration. Conducting research and analysing information from diverse sources. Supporting policy development, evaluations and research activities. Designing surveys and data collection tools to understand platform user needs. Preparing reports, background papers, studies and other written outputs. Coordinating outreach activities, training workshops and seminars. Supporting programme budgets, funding submissions and financial reporting. Supervising teams responsible for collecting, verifying and cataloguing information and data. Working with technical teams and service providers on software development, cybersecurity, infrastructure and platform requirements. Analysing data and presenting findings through charts, graphs, tables and reports to support evidence-based decision-making. Education Requirements Candidates are expected to have an advanced university degree, such as a master’s degree or equivalent, in business administration, management, economics, information management, social sciences or a related discipline. A first-level university degree combined with two additional years of qualifying professional experience may be accepted instead of an advanced degree. Successful completion of degree and non-degree programmes in data analytics, business analytics or data science is considered desirable. Professional Experience The position requires significant professional experience. Candidates must have at least seven years of progressively responsible experience in programme or project management, administration or a related field. In addition, candidates must have at least three years of experience within the past seven years managing digital or data products. Experience with agile methodologies for technical product development is desirable. Experience working in a humanitarian context within the UN Common System or another comparable international organisation is also considered an advantage. Required Skills and Competencies The successful candidate should demonstrate strong professional, analytical and organisational capabilities.
