UN Women Is Hiring an Operations Analyst (P-2) in Bonn, Germany UN Women is recruiting an Operations Analyst (P-2) to join its team in Bonn, Germany, supporting the United Nations Women’s Peace and Humanitarian Fund (WPHF). This is a full-time, fixed-term international position with an initial contract duration of one year and strong opportunities for professional growth within the UN system. About UN Women and the WPHF UN Women is the United Nations entity dedicated to gender equality and the empowerment of women and girls. Its work spans development, humanitarian action, peacebuilding, and human rights. The Women’s Peace and Humanitarian Fund (WPHF) is a global partnership between the UN, Member States, and civil society organizations. Since 2016, WPHF has supported more than 1,700 women-led and women’s rights organizations across 48 countries, strengthening women’s participation in peacebuilding and humanitarian response. UN Women hosts the WPHF Secretariat, which oversees fund management, resource mobilization, programme support, monitoring, reporting, and global advocacy. The Secretariat also manages specialized mechanisms such as the Rapid Response Window, established to support women’s participation in peace processes. Role Overview: Operations Analyst (P-2) Reporting to the Operations Specialist (P-3), the Operations Analyst provides operational, financial, administrative, and programme support to the WPHF Secretariat. The role works closely with UN Women teams, the Multi-Partner Trust Fund Office (MPTFO), and regional and country offices to ensure effective implementation of programmes in line with UN Women policies and procedures. The Operations Analyst plays a key role in strengthening operational systems, managing financial resources, supporting procurement and HR processes, and ensuring compliance across all areas of WPHF operations. Key Responsibilities Operations and Programme Support Provide technical support on operational matters in line with UN Women regulations Support the development and implementation of annual operations workplans Contribute to business process mapping and internal standard operating procedures Ensure effective coordination between WPHF, country offices, regional offices, HQ, and partners Financial Management Support planning, tracking, and auditing of programme and office financial resources Review and submit fund transfer requests to the MPTFO Monitor funding allocations, expenditures, and pooled funding usage Support donor analysis and internal reporting Follow up on audit findings and corrective actions Human Resources Support recruitment processes and contract management Liaise with headquarters and service providers as required Procurement, Travel, and Assets Support procurement planning, vendor coordination, and contract management Process travel requests and claims in line with UN Women policies Oversee asset management, inventory control, and verification activities Inter-Agency Coordination Participate in inter-agency working groups and meetings Liaise with UN agencies and partners on operational collaboration Required Qualifications and Experience Education Master’s degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Finance, HR, Social Sciences, Gender Studies, International Development, or a related field A first-level university degree with two additional years of experience may be accepted Experience Minimum 2 years of progressively responsible experience in operations, finance, or office management Experience with IPSAS or IFRS standards is required Strong proficiency in MS Office and web-based management systems Experience with ERP systems (preferably Oracle Cloud) is an asset Prior experience in the UN system is desirable Languages Fluency in English is required Working knowledge of French or another UN language is an advantage Core Competencies Integrity, professionalism, and respect for diversity Gender awareness and sensitivity Accountability and effective communication Inclusive collaboration and stakeholder engagement Problem-solving and adaptability Job Details and Application Timeline Location: Bonn, Germany Contract Type: Fixed-term (International) Grade: P-2 Job ID: 31630 Posted: 5 February 2026 Application Deadline: 19 February 2026 APPLY NOW UN Women is committed to diversity, inclusion, and equal opportunity.
