The UNFPA Internship Program is designed to provide practical experience, professional mentorship, and insight into UN operations. Available Internship Positions 1. Humanitarian Programme Intern – Ankara, Turkey The Humanitarian Programme Intern will join UNFPA’s humanitarian team in Ankara, contributing to the planning, coordination, and monitoring of emergency response programs. The intern will assist with research, data collection, reporting, and documentation of program outcomes, supporting operational planning and strategic decision-making in humanitarian contexts. This position offers a unique opportunity to gain experience in disaster response, crisis management, and program implementation in a multi-country humanitarian setting. The ideal candidate is highly motivated, adaptable, and capable of working in dynamic environments, with an interest in humanitarian programming, international development, and emergency response. Selected interns will collaborate closely with program staff, contribute to field research, and support the delivery of essential services to vulnerable populations. Resource Mobilization & Partnerships Intern – Ankara, Turkey The Resource Mobilization & Partnerships Intern will work with UNFPA’s team focused on donor relations, partnership building, and fundraising strategy. Responsibilities include supporting proposal development, donor engagement, reporting, and outreach activities, as well as contributing to partnership coordination and communications initiatives. This internship is ideal for individuals interested in global development financing, strategic partnerships, and advocacy, offering insight into how international organizations mobilize resources to achieve their development objectives. Interns will gain hands-on experience in donor management, strategic planning, and partnership facilitation, while contributing to projects that strengthen UNFPA’s global impact. The position emphasizes teamwork, cross-cultural collaboration, and the development of practical skills in resource mobilization and program coordination. Communication and Partnership Intern – WomenX Collective, Nairobi, Kenya The Communication and Partnership Intern will support UNFPA’s WomenX Collective, focusing on initiatives that promote gender equality, women’s empowerment, and youth engagement. The intern will assist in creating content for social media, newsletters, and campaigns, support communications planning, and liaise with partner organizations to enhance visibility and advocacy efforts. This position offers practical experience in digital communications, campaign management, and stakeholder engagement in gender-focused programming. The ideal candidate is creative, organized, and passionate about women’s rights, youth empowerment, and social change. Interns will gain valuable skills in advocacy, partnership management, and content creation, contributing directly to programs that drive social impact and community mobilization.
