According to EOF, nearly seven in ten children in these countries cannot read with understanding by the age of 10, while many education programmes fail to produce measurable learning or employment outcomes. Through innovative outcomes-based financing, EOF helps governments and partners focus investments on measurable improvements rather than simply funding activities. The Communications & Advocacy Manager will play an important role in promoting this mission by strengthening EOF’s public profile and communicating its impact to global audiences. Primary responsibilities include: Developing communication strategies for country programmes. Supporting programme managers with communication planning and implementation. Ensuring consistent branding and messaging across all projects. Coordinating communications for fundraising and partnership initiatives. Producing high-quality multimedia content for diverse audiences. Managing social media channels and digital engagement. Supporting advocacy campaigns and institutional communications. Leading International Events and Advocacy A significant component of the position involves planning and managing communications around major international events. The Communications & Advocacy Manager will: Lead communication planning for events such as the United Nations General Assembly. Coordinate virtual and hybrid advocacy events. Identify speaking opportunities for senior leadership. Build event communication strategies that maximize visibility. Maintain EOF’s annual events calendar. Support partnerships through strategic engagement opportunities. Content Creation and Digital Communications The position places a strong emphasis on creative storytelling and multimedia communication. The selected candidate will oversee the production of: Articles and feature stories. Research summaries and reports. Blog posts and newsletters. Speeches and opinion pieces. Marketing materials. Podcasts and video content. Photography and visual storytelling. Infographics and animations. Social media campaigns. The manager will also supervise editorial planning, ensuring content reaches diverse global audiences through integrated digital communication strategies. Qualifications and Experience Required UNOPS is seeking experienced communications professionals with strong backgrounds in strategic communications and international advocacy. Applicants must possess: A Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field. At least seven years of relevant professional experience with a bachelor’s degree, or five years with a master’s degree. Demonstrated experience developing and implementing communication strategies. Experience leading international communication initiatives. Strong stakeholder engagement and project management skills. A master’s degree in a relevant discipline is considered an advantage.
