About the Internship World Vision’s internship program offers three-month opportunities for passionate students and recent graduates who aspire to work in international relief and development. Interns are immersed in meaningful projects that foster professional growth, provide valuable hands-on experience, and cultivate connections with purpose-driven professionals dedicated to transformative change. The Marketing Communications & Impact Intern will join VisionFund’s Strategy Team, which consists of three key sub-teams: Strategy, Impact-Data, and Marketing & Communication (M&C). The selected intern will primarily collaborate with the M&C team, while working closely with the Impact-Data sub-team. This position provides a unique opportunity to combine creativity, storytelling, and analytical insight to amplify VisionFund’s message and demonstrate its impact globally. Key Responsibilities Uncover Impact Stories: Analyze data and client feedback to identify compelling narratives that illustrate VisionFund’s real-world impact on communities and families. Develop Engaging Content: Produce written and visual materials—including articles, social media content, and web features—that highlight VisionFund’s mission and achievements. Enhance Data Storytelling: Collaborate with the Impact Team to design innovative ways of presenting impact data, transforming statistics into meaningful and accessible communications. Conduct Research: Explore current developments in the microfinance and financial inclusion sectors, and translate findings into informative and inspiring communications. Manage Impact Data: Learn to navigate VisionFund’s Impact Database, assist with data management, and support reporting activities for internal and external audiences. Learning and Development Opportunities Interns will gain first-hand exposure to international development, financial inclusion, and strategic communications. They will: Collaborate Across Teams: Work with professionals from diverse disciplines, gaining insight into how research, data, and storytelling come together to advance VisionFund’s mission. Engage in Professional Growth: Participate in weekly professional development sessions designed to strengthen leadership, communication, and analytical skills within a faith-driven work environment. Make Meaningful Contributions: Take part in projects that have tangible impact on the organization’s operations, communications, and outreach strategies. Join a Supportive Community: Become part of a nationwide cohort of interns and colleagues who are motivated by shared Christian values and a commitment to serving children and families in need. Candidate Profile Essential Qualifications: Current student or recent graduate (within two years) of a bachelor’s or master’s program in communications, marketing, international development, English, data analytics, or a related field. Strong writing and research abilities, with experience producing clear, engaging content for digital or print platforms. Demonstrated interest in poverty alleviation, social impact, and innovative approaches to community development. Creative mindset with an understanding of data-informed storytelling. Ability to conduct online research efficiently and synthesize information effectively. Excellent communication skills, openness to feedback, and enthusiasm for collaborative teamwork. Faith and Mission Alignment:Candidates must demonstrate alignment with the Christian values and mission of World Vision International, including adherence to its Statement of Faith. Technical and Logistical Requirements: Must be at least 18 years of age. Must be legally authorized to work in the United States (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or F-1 visa holder with valid work authorization). Must possess a valid U.S. Social Security Number. Must be based in one of the following U.S. states where World Vision International is registered as an employer: Arizona, California, Colorado, Connecticut, District of Columbia, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, Missouri, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Oregon, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, or Washington. Must commit to working 30–40 hours per week for the full internship duration. Willingness to use personal electronic devices for internship purposes and allow installation of World Vision’s endpoint security software.
