Recruitment Responsibilities Focus on Global Talent Sourcing Approximately half of the role is dedicated to talent acquisition and recruitment activities. The organisation is seeking someone with strong sourcing capabilities across professional platforms and humanitarian networks. Key recruitment responsibilities include: Proactively sourcing candidates via LinkedIn Recruiter, job boards, and ReliefWeb Building and maintaining a qualified talent pipeline Managing end-to-end recruitment cycles in collaboration with technical leadership Screening candidates and coordinating interviews and assessments Maintaining a consultant roster for rapid project deployment Supporting staffing needs for humanitarian projects and tenders The role requires a proactive approach to talent identification, particularly within tech, data, and humanitarian sectors. HR Management Responsibilities Cover Full Employee Lifecycle The remaining responsibilities focus on human resources administration and employee support across the organisation’s international entities. Key HR duties include: Drafting and managing staff and consultant contracts Onboarding and offboarding employees and consultants Coordinating payroll and payments with accounting partners Maintaining employee records, leave tracking, and compliance systems Supporting HR legal compliance across French and Spanish entities The role also involves overseeing HR systems and ensuring consistency in processes across multiple jurisdictions. Employee Relations and Organisational Culture Development Beyond administrative HR functions, the role includes direct engagement with employees to support wellbeing, performance, and workplace culture. Responsibilities include: Conducting one-on-one HR check-ins with staff Managing annual performance review processes Handling workplace conflict resolution Acting as a confidential HR contact point for employees Supporting team-building activities and internal engagement initiatives The organisation places strong emphasis on maintaining a positive and collaborative remote working environment. Strategic HR Planning and Workforce Coordination The HR & Talent Acquisition Manager will also contribute to long-term workforce planning and organisational development. Candidate Profile and Professional Requirements Relief Applications is seeking an experienced HR professional with strong recruitment and organisational management skills. Minimum requirements include: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field Approximately five years of experience in HR and/or talent acquisition Strong experience using LinkedIn Recruiter and other sourcing tools Experience in HR administration, contracts, and payroll coordination Familiarity with nonprofit, NGO, or humanitarian sectors is an advantage Language requirements include: French: Required English: Professional proficiency required Spanish: Strong advantage Key Skills and Personal Attributes The ideal candidate is expected to demonstrate both technical HR expertise and strong interpersonal capabilities. Essential competencies include: Strong organisational and multitasking ability Attention to detail in contracts and payroll processes Ability to manage sensitive HR issues with discretion Experience working with ATS or HR management systems Strong communication and stakeholder management skills Ability to work independently in a remote environment Soft skills are particularly important, including empathy, emotional intelligence, and sound judgement in managing people-related matters.
