Work Remotely as a Strategic Partnerships Lead at Systemic Justice: The annual salary is up to €52,500
globalsouthopportunities.com

Application Deadline

January 9, 2026

Description

Systemic Justice is inviting applications for a Strategic Partnerships Lead, a key new role that will help shape the future of a growing organisation working at the forefront of racial, social, and economic justice across Europe. This is a rare opportunity for an early to mid-career fundraiser to take on a high-impact position within a young and ambitious organisation that is redefining how the law serves communities most affected by systemic injustice. Systemic Justice exists to radically transform the way litigation is used in movements for justice. Our work places communities—those who face structural racism, discrimination, and exclusion—at the centre of the strategies that challenge the systems harming them. Through co-created strategic litigation, we aim to dismantle entrenched inequities and expand access to justice across Europe. As our organisation continues to grow, so too does the need for strategic, values-aligned fundraising that helps us deepen our partnerships and sustain our work. This is where you come in. About the Role The Strategic Partnerships Lead will spearhead Systemic Justice’s fundraising strategy, build strong philanthropic relationships, and expand the organisation’s network of supporters and partners. This is the first dedicated fundraising role in the organisation—making it both a responsibility and an opportunity to shape our entire fundraising ecosystem from the ground up. The role is structured as a four-day (32-hour) full-time position, fully remote, and open to applicants based anywhere in the European Union who have the right to work in their country of residence. The annual salary is up to €52,500, adjusted according to cost-of-living, plus up to 10% pension contribution. You will work closely with the Executive Director and senior leadership team to develop and implement fundraising strategies, identify new funding pathways, engage existing donors, and build meaningful partnerships that are aligned with our anti-oppression values and long-term vision. You will help strengthen and operationalise our internal systems—from CRM use to pipeline development—and lay the foundation for what will likely grow into a larger fundraising team. Key Responsibilities You will lead strategic fundraising across four main areas: Proposal & Partnership Development (10–15%)Manage full grant application processes, guide high-quality proposal development, support organisational reporting, and build partnerships that strengthen our mission and increase our visibility. Donor Relationship Management (20–25%)Develop strategies for engaging donors, cultivate new relationships, conduct sector research, represent Systemic Justice externally, and collaborate across teams to share narratives and impact. Strategy Development (15–20%)Co-design and implement a multi-year fundraising strategy that meets the organisation’s next strategic plan and expands our funding base within a difficult philanthropic climate. Donor Prospecting & Pipeline Development (40–45%)Revise and enhance the donor pipeline, map prospective funders, deepen engagement with philanthropic foundations and corporate partners, and create tailored value propositions that speak to diverse donors. You will also support knowledge management, strengthen fundraising systems, ensure compliance, and document processes that will enable future scaling. What We’re Looking For We are seeking a candidate with experience in fundraising for philanthropic organisations, someone who understands how to nurture donor relationships and build strategic partnerships grounded in shared values. You should bring strong networking abilities, excellent organisational and communication skills, a solid understanding of the European funding landscape, and confidence managing budgets, proposals, and complex projects. Equally important is your commitment to justice, your ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders, and your capacity to embed anti-oppression, intersectionality, and community-driven principles into your fundraising practice. Experience in monitoring, evaluation, and learning—as well as bachelor-level competencies in financial management—will also be valuable. First Six Months: Expected Impact The first half-year will focus heavily on establishing the systems and foundations that will guide our long-term fundraising work. You will map existing donor information, analyse the funding landscape, build a robust pipeline, craft value propositions, and develop strategic engagement plans. Within six months, you will be expected to secure at least one new funding commitment, submit high-value proposals, strengthen donor relationships, and present a multi-year fundraising strategy to senior leadership. How to Apply Applications are due 18 January 2026 at 23:59 CET.Please submit your CV and written responses (max 300 words each) to the three application questions listed in the posting—no traditional cover letter is required. Online interviews will be held on 26 January, followed by in-person interviews on 5 February. An optional information call will take place on 14 January 2026 at 17:30 CET for those who want to learn more about the role. APPLY NOW Systemic Justice is deeply committed to building a team that reflects the communities we serve, and we strongly encourage applications from people with lived experience of the injustices we aim to address.
