The Internship Development Intern plays a central role in expanding and supporting the programme’s network of host organizations. The selected candidate will contribute toward identifying potential hosts, maintaining relationships with partners, and ensuring the delivery of engaging internship experiences for future participants. The role is positioned as an opportunity for individuals interested in communications, programme coordination, relationship management, and youth development initiatives. Purpose of the Role The internship is considered essential to strengthening the network of organizations participating in the World Merit internship platform. By supporting outreach and engagement efforts, the intern helps create a diverse pipeline of internship opportunities that align with World Merit’s mission of empowering young people globally. The role also contributes to improving the quality of collaboration between hosts and interns, ensuring that both parties benefit from structured and impactful experiences. Key Responsibilities The selected intern will support several operational and promotional aspects of the internship programme. Responsibilities include assisting with the development and coordination of the World Merit Global Internship Program and supporting webinars designed for external host organizations. The intern will also collaborate with internal departments to organize live sessions and community engagement activities. Additional duties include designing promotional materials for the World Merit platform, internship catalogue, and programme campaigns. Other responsibilities involve supporting the development of host and intern engagement cycles, collecting internship experience reports from participants, and coordinating with communications, outreach, and management teams. The role further includes preparing and updating internship-related content for digital platforms and promotions while providing guidance to internal hosts regarding affiliation processes. Desired Qualifications and Skills World Merit is seeking applicants with strong written and verbal communication abilities, as well as excellent interpersonal skills. Candidates should demonstrate a proactive mindset, strong organizational capabilities, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively within teams. Applicants with experience in outreach, relationship management, communications, or programme coordination may have an added advantage. Familiarity with communication platforms, virtual meeting tools, and digital collaboration systems is also considered beneficial. Membership is free, but applicants must first register as global members on the World Merit platform to verify eligibility before applying. Internship Duration and Benefits The internship runs for a period of three months and may be extended depending on programme needs and performance. The opportunity repeats every three months, creating recurring engagement opportunities for young professionals interested in gaining international experience. Selected interns will receive a stipend of USD 100 during the internship period. In addition to financial support, participants gain valuable experience in programme coordination, communications, outreach, and professional networking within an international youth-focused organization.
