The World Trade Organization (WTO) is seeking a highly qualified professional to fill the position of Coordinator within the Executive Secretariat (ES) of the Enhanced Integrated Framework (EIF). This role is based in Geneva, Switzerland, and is offered under a fixed-term contract funded through extra-budgetary trust funds, with renewal subject to funding availability and performance. About the Enhanced Integrated Framework (EIF) Established in 2009, the EIF is a global partnership dedicated to supporting least developed countries (LDCs) and recently graduated countries in using trade and investment as engines for inclusive, sustainable, and transformative development. The partnership brings together: 44 LDCs and 2 recently graduated countries 28 EIF funding partners 8 EIF partner agencies Through demand-driven and targeted assistance, the EIF strengthens national trade capacities, integrates trade into development strategies, and enhances participation in regional and global markets. Role Purpose and Strategic Contribution The Coordinator plays a central role in advancing the objectives of EIF Phase Three at the national level. Acting as a strategic liaison between the Executive Secretariat, EIF National Implementation Units (NIUs), and key stakeholders, the role supports the effective integration of trade and investment into national development frameworks. Through technical assistance, capacity-building, partnership development, and resource mobilization, the Coordinator contributes directly to strengthening trade ecosystems in LDCs and enhancing their engagement in global trade. Key Functions and Responsibilities Reporting to the Senior Coordinator, the incumbent will be responsible for the following core areas: Strategic and Technical Support Supporting the integration of trade and investment priorities into national development plans Assisting in the development and maintenance of country-specific Prioritized Action Matrices and trade roadmaps Contributing to sectoral and thematic analyses to inform policy and project design Programme and Project Design, Implementation, and MEL Supporting the identification, appraisal, and implementation of EIF-funded programmes and projects Ensuring that robust monitoring, evaluation, and learning (MEL) frameworks are embedded from inception Monitoring delivery and performance in line with results-based management principles Conducting follow-up missions and stakeholder consultations to assess progress and identify corrective actions Capacity-Building and Knowledge Sharing Identifying institutional and technical capacity gaps among national stakeholders Contributing to the design and delivery of targeted technical assistance and training Facilitating peer learning and the exchange of good practices among LDCs Stakeholder Engagement and Partnerships Promoting inclusive engagement with governments, private sector actors, civil society, and development partners Representing the EIF in national and regional coordination mechanisms and Aid for Trade forums Strengthening synergies with complementary development initiatives and donor frameworks Resource Mobilization Supporting national-level resource mobilization efforts, including innovative and blended finance opportunities Assisting in the preparation of project proposals and funding justifications Contributing data, impact narratives, and investment cases to global and regional EIF fundraising efforts Communications and Outreach Supporting the implementation of the EIF communications strategy at country level Promoting EIF results, success stories, and impact through outreach activities Contributing to the development of knowledge products and visibility materials Required Qualifications and Experience Education Advanced university degree in economics, international development, trade policy, public administration, or project management Professional Experience A minimum of five years of relevant experience in trade- or investment-related development assistance or project implementation Demonstrated experience working in LDC contexts is strongly preferred Knowledge and Skills Strong expertise in programme and project management, MEL, and capacity-building Proven ability in stakeholder coordination, portfolio management, and resource mobilization Solid understanding of Aid for Trade and trade-for-development issues Excellent drafting and oral communication skills Ability to communicate effectively with diverse audiences Languages Excellent command of English Working knowledge of French is required Knowledge of Portuguese is considered an asset Contract and Application Information Grade: 8 Contract type: Fixed-term (L-Post, EIF-funded) Annual salary: CHF 120,948 Application deadline: 10 February 2026 (Geneva time) The recruitment process may include written examinations, interviews, assessments, and reference checks.
