Position Overview Title: Program Coordinator Location: Remote / Hybrid (depending on assignment) Engagement Type: Contract / Part-time / Full-time (based on program needs) Application Deadline: 31 March 2026 (11:59 PM EAT) Start Date: April 2026 The YIMBiK Program Coordinator will play a central role in ensuring effective planning, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of YIMBiK’s initiatives. Key Responsibilities The successful candidate will be responsible for: Coordinating programs, fellowships, internships, and research initiatives Managing timelines, deliverables, and reporting systems Supporting recruitment and engagement of interns, fellows, and partners Monitoring performance indicators and program progress Organizing workshops, meetings, and virtual sessions Preparing technical and administrative reports Supporting partnerships and stakeholder communication Ensuring compliance with organizational standards and quality frameworks This role requires strong organizational discipline and the ability to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously. Minimum Qualifications Applicants must demonstrate: A Bachelor’s degree in Microbiology, Biotechnology, Public Health, Life Sciences, Project Management, Social Sciences, or a related field (Master’s degree is an added advantage) Experience in program management, research coordination, or project administration Strong communication, reporting, and organizational skills Digital literacy, including proficiency in Google Workspace and virtual collaboration platforms Ability to work independently while maintaining high productivity Experience within research, innovation, or development-focused programs is highly desirable. Preferred Competencies Competitive candidates may also possess: Experience managing research or fellowship programs Knowledge of monitoring and evaluation frameworks Grant or proposal management experience Experience working with NGOs or youth innovation initiatives Strong leadership and stakeholder engagement capabilities Why This Role Matters The YIMBiK Program Coordinator position represents more than administrative oversight.
