Zvandiri, a globally recognised organisation dedicated to improving the health and well-being of children, adolescents, and young people living with HIV, is inviting applications for three senior and advisory-level positions. These roles are central to advancing Zvandiri’s mission of scaling and sustaining its peer-led, evidence-based model within national health systems across Africa. Founded in Zimbabwe in 2004, Zvandiri trains and mentors young people living with HIV as peer counsellors who provide health services, psychosocial support, and adherence counselling to their peers in clinics, communities, support groups, and through innovative digital health platforms. The organisation works closely with governments to localise, institutionalise, and scale this model, ensuring long-term sustainability and impact. To date, Zvandiri’s network of more than 7,500 peer counsellors has supported over 280,000 young people across 15 African countries. The advertised positions are offered on fixed-term contracts of one year, with the option to be based in Harare or to work remotely, depending on role requirements. 1. Head of Partnerships and Growth Contract Type: Fixed-term, 1 yearLocation: Harare or Remote The Head of Partnerships and Growth is a senior leadership role responsible for driving Zvandiri’s strategic expansion, strengthening partnerships, and mobilising resources to sustain and grow the organisation’s impact. The role provides strategic direction for partnership development, fundraising, donor stewardship, and external engagement, while working closely with the executive leadership team. Key responsibilities include designing and implementing a comprehensive partnerships and growth strategy aligned with Zvandiri’s mission and long-term vision. The role advises leadership on strategic opportunities informed by emerging trends in adolescent HIV, global health financing, and donor landscapes. The postholder leads innovative fundraising initiatives, donor cultivation, and grant development efforts while ensuring strong stewardship and reporting relationships with funders. The role also involves representing Zvandiri at high-level meetings, conferences, and networking platforms, managing budgets related to partnerships and communications, and establishing systems to measure the effectiveness and impact of partnerships and growth strategies. A strong emphasis is placed on mentoring staff and meaningfully engaging young people as key stakeholders in partnership and growth initiatives. Eligibility and Requirements: Advanced degree in Public Health, Communications, Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field Minimum of seven years’ experience in partnerships, organisational growth, and fundraising, preferably in the non-profit or health sector Proven success in business development, donor engagement, and resource mobilisation Strong knowledge of the international donor landscape, including governments, foundations, philanthropies, and public-private partnerships VISIT HERE 2. Strategic Communications and Marketing Advisor Contract Type: Full-time, 1 yearLocation: Harare or Remote The Strategic Communications and Marketing Advisor leads the development and execution of Zvandiri’s communications and marketing strategy, ensuring that the organisation’s messaging authentically reflects its values while amplifying the voices and lived experiences of young people living with HIV. Working closely with the Head of Partnerships and Growth, the advisor is responsible for strengthening Zvandiri’s brand positioning, developing youth-led content, managing digital platforms, and supporting advocacy and fundraising communications. The role oversees media engagement, public relations, digital campaigns, and event coordination to enhance visibility and stakeholder engagement. The advisor also leads monitoring and evaluation of communications efforts, supervises the communications team, and supports capacity building and mentorship of young people involved in storytelling and advocacy initiatives. Eligibility and Requirements: Advanced university degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, or a related field Minimum of five years’ experience in communications, marketing, or public relations, preferably within the non-profit sector Demonstrated ability to develop and implement effective communications strategies Proven experience in digital marketing, social media management, media relations, and content creation VISIT HERE 3. Health Financing and Sustainability Advisor Contract Type: Fixed-term, 1 yearLocation: Harare or Remote The Health Financing and Sustainability Advisor leads Zvandiri’s work on advancing sustainable, government-owned financing models for peer-led HIV services. The role supports Ministries of Health to analyse financing options, conduct costing and cost-effectiveness analyses, and develop long-term sustainability roadmaps for peer provider services. Key responsibilities include convening and facilitating technical working groups, supporting costing workshops across partner countries, and assisting governments in developing investment cases, financing roadmaps, and policy reform guidance. The advisor plays a central role in advocacy efforts related to budget allocation and policy reform, particularly in Zimbabwe, while contributing to regional and global learning on sustainable financing for adolescent HIV services. The role also involves producing high-quality technical briefs, reports, and presentations, providing capacity building to internal teams and partners, and contributing to the development of tools and guidelines related to health financing.
